A Quick Guide to Enjoying Your All-Adult, Clothing-Free Getaway

Thinking about taking an adults-only, clothing-optional vacation? It’s unlike any trip you’ve ever taken before. There are lots of DOs and DON’Ts to be learned—and they’re all in my second sexy memoir, SEDUCTIONS of a GOOD GIRL. But whether you’re looking for a sensual and permissive resort or a Lifestyle (aka ‘swingers’) cruise, here are the five essentials you need to know before you go. 1. LEAVE YOUR PORN EXPECTATIONS BEHIND
Everyone has fantasies and fears of what it would be like to take a clothes-free, adults-only, sexy getaway from the world. And having been on many, many of these, I can tell you that they can be a fantastic and life-changing experience. I can also say that they rarely end up being precisely what you imagined. So leave your expectations behind. They aren’t filled with hunky studs and Victoria’s Secret models, nor are they around-the-clock orgies. They usually end up somewhere in between -- filled with real people who are all looking for something to expand their lives and relationships. But, if you bring your own porn fueled fantasy expectations along with you, you just may end up frustrated instead of fulfilled.
2. BE SURE YOUR SPOUSE IS ON THE SAME PAGE
It seems simple. But you wouldn’t believe how many guys don’t tell their wife or girlfriend what kind of vacation they’re going on. This only leads to trouble once she realizes the truth. Now I wish I could say that I’ve seen this happen the other way around, too. But I’ve never heard of a woman ‘forgetting to tell’ her man what’s about to happen. These kinds of trips foster relationships built on acceptance, honesty, and openness. But if both people are not on board with what’s coming, it can break the trust between partners. There’s more on this in my first sexy memoir, “SECRETS of a GOOD GIRL” in a chapter called The Talk. 3. PACK WITH PURPOSE
Many first-timers think, “It’s clothing-optional, so I don’t need to pack much.” This can be true if you’re headed for a Naturist retreat. These nudist escapes embrace nature and being one with it all. So, yes, they rarely wear anything. (Sometimes even to meals.) But if you’re thinking of a sexy, passion-filled Lifestyle holiday, then you’ll need to prepare and pack more. At a destination like this, if you’re looking to meet other ‘like-minded’ couples, you’ll want to present yourself as attractively as possible. True, you have the option to be clothed or nude, as you desire. Daytime meals are always ‘covered’, unless you’re dining on your lounge chair. But nighttime theme parties call for outfits that are especially hot and revealing. So, as I tell readers in my memoirs, “If you’d wear it in your hometown, leave it there. It’s not sexy enough for where you’re going.” 4. THE ‘MUST-HAVES’
If you’re thinking, “I’ll just take a carry-on,” think again. Whether you’re going Naturist or Lifestyle in your travel, it’s important to pack the essentials – sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat(s), sandals, bug protection, and personal hygiene lotions, cremes, and stuff the TSA frowns upon. And depending on your chosen type of getaway, you may need some sexier accessories too. Lube, condoms, personal toys, gummies, fetish hardware, etc., are all fine to take. Just put them in your checked luggage. And last, but not least, be sure to take a fun, open, and light-hearted attitude. Stress can kill all the good times. 5. DON’T WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO START YOUR PARTY
Think about what makes you feel relaxed and ready to have a good time. The resort or cruise will have plenty of music, dancing, booze, and fun activities. But if there is something else that makes you feel relaxed and ready to party, bring it with you. The worst mistake first-time couples can make is waiting for someone else to get the party started. In this situation, you won’t know anyone from work, or family, or back home. So what are you waiting for? If you’re hungry, thirsty, or tired, do what makes you happy. And if you’re feeling that sexy tingle, go for it. Be respectful of others, and in designated areas for ‘play’, but do not wait for someone else to start your part. Start it yourself, and you will have the time of your life. (And probably want to go back again soon.)
